The most overlooked but valued form of home staging for us as agents are de-cluttering and cleanliness.

According to a real estate agent, staging should ideally take place before putting your home on the market and, especially, before photographing it. If people don’t like what they see of your home in the online photos, you’ll never get them through the door on show day. The concept of home staging, whilst popular abroad, is slowly gaining traction in South Africa. If you’re planning to put your house on the market, you’ve no doubt already got a checklist of things you need to do before show day.
